Worship With Us

Sunday's at 9:30am-Contemporary or 11:00am-traditional

We offer two styles of worship here at Aversboro!
Our Contemporary Service begins at 9:30am on Sunday is led by the worship team which comprises singers accompanied by keyboards, guitars, and drums. We sing modern worship songs from artists such as Hillsong, Tomlin, Crowder, Baloche and more!
Our Traditional Service begins at 11:00am on Sunday is led by our Choir accompanied by piano and organ. We sing the time-honored hymns of the faith.
Both of our times of worship are designed to help us meet God and respond to Him in praise and adoration. The sermon is designed to help us explore and discover the truths of scripture and how they apply to our lives. We invite you to join us!

Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons at 4:30pm in the Sanctuary.
There are three adult Worship Teams leading worship during our (9:30am) Contemporary Worship Service each Sunday morning. Singers and instrumentalists (guitars, bass, percussion, drums, keyboard, and others) can audition to be part of our team. This group is open to all interested musicians from high school juniors to adults. Contact us for more information!

Rehearsals are on Wednesday Evening at 7:00pm in the Choir Suite.
Our Chancel Choir leads worship in our Sunday morning (11:00am) Traditional Worship Service. Participate on a seasonal (spring, summer, fall) or a year-round basis to provide music for worship services, cantatas, dramatic musicals, presentations, special events, and special praise and worship services. Join with a group of people brought together through a love of singing, creating a bond of love through prayer and praise. Musical gifts bring the congregation to the very throne of grace each week through diligent dedication, prayer and a love of music. The group is open to all interested singers 18 and over. Contact us for more information!

Rehearsals are seasonal and TBA
This choir is comprised of our Chancel Choir and other members of the congregation who gather together to prepare and present Hanging of the Green, Christmas and Easter choral offerings. There are many people who attend our Contemporary Service who are not able to participate regularly in our Chancel Choir. The Cantata Choir presents an opportunity to still enjoy preparing and presenting good choral works. This choir is open to senior high school ages and above. Contact us for more information!

Rehearsals are Wednesday Mornings at 10:30am in the Choir Suite.
A musical ministry for Senior Adults (age 55+) which provides an opportunity to sing music they have loved for many years. This group enjoys the fellowship of time spent together each week working on songs for singing in worship and for nursing home visits. Contact us for more information!

Rehearsals are Wednesday Evening at 5:30pm in the Sanctuary.
This group of handbell ringers enjoys preparing the music for both worship services and other special events throughout the fall and spring seasons. They have rung in choir cantatas as part of the orchestra in the past. Interested ringers should contact us for more information.

Rehearsals are Sunday evenings at 7pm in the Choir Suite.
This ensemble is comprised of invited members of the Chancel Choir and Worship Team. They sing a cappella selections as well as praise and worship and other more eclectic songs. They sing once a month as the praise choir in our 9:30am Contemporary Worship Service as well as other worship times. They have presented worship concerts as well as singing at other seasonal events. Contact us for more information!

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 6:15pm.
We have a fully-graded preschool and children’s choir ministry. Our preschool choir is for ages 2-K and learns songs and sings praises. Our Kid's Choir is for grades 1-5. 60 plus kids meet every Wednesday night to sing, learn spiritual and musical concepts, and prepare Christmas and spring musicals as well as songs for worship services. They have even sung with our Worship Team at our Contemporary Worship Service. They also enjoy singing at our annual Hanging of the Green Service. Contact us for more information!

This team of technology-minded people provides audio, video and media sound support for both Worship Services. Some computer, audio, and video experience is helpful, but not required. Training will be provided! If you are interested and would like to consider serving on this team, please contact Joe Sinclair.

If you play or have played a musical instrument in the past, there are opportunities for playing in our seasonal orchestra that provides accompaniment for Christmas and Easter choral events. This group is open to senior high school students and adults with instrumental experience. Contact us for more information!
